Sandra Zimmerli

Professional rider & trainer

Sandra grew up riding a variety of different disciplines, although she always followed her heart back to the show jumping ring. As a junior rider, Sandra was a regular competitor in the high JR/AO divisions. She had the honor of representing Zone 3 in numerous championships including the FEI North American Youth Championships and the USEF National Junior Jumper Championships. During her final junior year, Sandra was the winner of the 2016 Capital Challenge high JR/AO Challenge Cup and was awarded the 2016 best jumper rider of Capital Challenge. After aging out of the junior divisions, Sandra spent some time as an amateur and shifted her focus on learning to jump Grand Prix classes. She spent time jumping various regional and national Grand Prix classes up and down the east coast and Midwest and worked with and alongside numerous professionals. In the fall of 2018, she went on to start her own business, Zimmerli Show Jumping, as a professional rider and trainer. Sandra enjoys seeing the progression of each and every rider and has helped multiple riders competitively navigate through National Standard Grand Prix classes. She believes that the basics are key and that you should never stop learning. Sandra frequently works with other professional hunter/jumper and dressage riders to strengthen her skillset and education for herself and her clients.

Shelly Zimmerli

From an early age, Shelly was a fierce competitor. At the mere age of 15 she jumped her first Grand Prix and was picking up top results in the junior jumper and professional divisions. During her junior career, she represented Zone 3 at both the FEI North American Youth Championships and the USEF National Junior Jumper Championships. Although her time in the equitation ring was limited, she was a true competitor in every class she walked into earning many wins and other top placings in the big equitation.

She now rides as an amateur on family owned horses, focusing primarily on Grand Prix classes.
